DomeRide Electric Motorcycle Complete Buying Guide (City & Off-Road)

Choosing a high-quality electric motorcycle can be confusing for new riders, as many buyers do not fully understand voltage standards, motor types, battery capacity, real cruising range, and performance differences between urban commuter models and professional off-road models. To help global customers make precise and suitable purchase decisions, we have sorted out a complete and professional configuration guide for all DomeRide electric motorcycles, covering voltage specifications, motor classification, battery options, power grades, and actual endurance performance.

Two Main Types of DomeRide Electric Motorcycles

DomeRide designs and manufactures two core series of electric motorcycles to adapt to different riding environments and usage needs, including daily urban commuting and outdoor cross-country adventure scenarios.

1. Standard City Electric Motorcycle
City electric motorcycles focus on comfort, stability, energy saving and cost performance. They are suitable for daily commuting, family travel, and short-distance road riding on urban paved roads. The vehicle runs smoothly with low noise, easy control, and low maintenance cost, which is very friendly for novice riders and daily transportation use.

2. Professional Off-Road Electric Motorcycle
Off-road electric motorcycles are built for extreme road conditions. They feature stronger power output, higher chassis ground clearance, reinforced shock absorption system, anti-skid thickened tires and upgraded frame structure. They can adapt to mountain roads, gravel roads, rough roads and complex outdoor terrain, meeting the performance needs of outdoor exploration and high-speed riding.

Electric Motorcycle Voltage Standards & Export Rules

Voltage is the foundation of vehicle speed, power and stability, and different regions have clear voltage restrictions for exported electric motorcycles.

- 60V: It is the minimum standard formal voltage for qualified electric motorcycles, meeting basic daily speed and power needs, and widely used in entry-level commuter vehicles.
- 72V: This is the most mainstream and universally accepted voltage for export electric motorcycles worldwide. It balances power, speed, compliance and endurance perfectly, and is the preferred configuration for most high-performance street and off-road models.
- 96V: It belongs to the high-voltage extreme performance configuration, with stronger instantaneous acceleration and higher top speed. However, due to international export safety and regulatory restrictions, 96V models are not commonly exported, while 72V remains the safest and most universal mainstream choice for global sales.

Two Core Motor Types (Hub Motor & Belt Drive Motor)

The motor is the core power source that determines climbing ability, acceleration and riding experience. DomeRide electric motorcycles are equipped with two mature and reliable motor types.

1. Hub Motor
The hub motor is integrated inside the rear wheel, with a simple overall structure, extremely low failure rate and stable output power. It features smooth linear acceleration, low noise and low energy consumption. It is mainly matched with urban commuter electric motorcycles, fully meeting daily flat road riding and daily commuting demands.

2. Belt Drive Motor
The belt drive motor is an upgraded high-performance power structure. It provides higher torque, stronger climbing performance and more explosive acceleration. Compared with hub motors, it has better power release efficiency and stronger adaptability to heavy load and complex road conditions. It is the standard motor configuration for all DomeRide off-road high-performance models.

Battery Types, Capacity & Actual Cruising Range

We provide two mainstream battery solutions: lead-acid battery and lithium battery, with huge differences in cost, weight, service life and performance.

1. Lead-Acid Battery
Lead-acid batteries have lower manufacturing cost and ultra-high cost performance. Although they are heavier and have a shorter service life than lithium batteries, they are very suitable for budget customers who focus on daily short-distance commuting and low daily loss.

2. Lithium Battery
Lithium batteries are the mainstream choice for high-performance electric motorcycles. They are lightweight, support high-rate discharge, have longer cycle life and more stable high-power output. For performance-oriented riding, 72V 60Ah lithium battery is the minimum starting configuration, which can bring significantly improved acceleration, climbing and continuous driving performance.

Ultra-Large Battery Capacity & Real Endurance Data

DomeRide supports ultra-large capacity battery customization. The maximum optional battery capacity can reach 150Ah. With this high-capacity lithium battery configuration:

- Standard comprehensive cruising range: 180km – 200km on flat urban roads
- Optimal working condition cruising range: Under stable constant-speed riding and low-load working conditions, the maximum endurance can reach 220km – 230km, achieving ultra-long-distance continuous riding.

Motor Power Classification & Performance Level

Motor power directly determines the overall performance grade of the electric motorcycle. The higher the power, the stronger the acceleration, top speed, climbing ability and load capacity.

- 2kW – 3kW (Entry Power): Suitable for daily urban commuting, stable power and energy-saving riding
- 5kW (Mid-to-High Power): Balanced performance, suitable for daily fast travel and mild outdoor riding
- 8kW – 10kW (Extreme High Power): Professional off-road grade power, with strong explosive force, adapting to extreme terrain, high-speed driving and long-distance cross-country riding

Purchase Suggestion Summary

1. If you need daily commuting, high cost performance and stable riding, choose a 60V/72V hub motor model equipped with lead-acid battery. It is economical, practical and meets all daily travel needs.
2. If you pursue strong power, fast acceleration, ultra-long endurance and off-road performance, prioritize the 72V high-standard platform, equipped with 72V 60Ah or higher large-capacity lithium battery and belt drive high-power motor above 3kW. For ultra-long distance riding, you can choose the upgraded 150Ah large-capacity battery configuration.

With compliant mainstream 72V voltage, diverse motor options, multiple battery configurations and complete power grades, DomeRide electric motorcycles perfectly cover daily commuting and professional off-road scenarios, providing global customers with cost-effective and high-performance two-wheel electric vehicle solutions.
